Ian Sykes

 Ian joined the Avon Valley Partnership team in October 2010, after retiring to Damerham from Devon. He had been Rector to four parishes on the edge of Dartmoor.  Previous to that he was Team Vicar inthe Bourne Valley Team, just north of Salisbury.  He went there after a two year Curacy in Oxford, following his 'transfer' from the Baptist tradition, where he had been a for Minister sixteen year, firstly in Desborough, Northants (the first L.E.P. inthe country) and then in Botley, Oxford.

He is married to Susan who has been a Teacher and then worked for the Devon Wildlife Trust.

 

Ian is an armchair sports fan, and a keen fisherman for Trout and Salmon.
